Easy Creamy Mushroom And Ham Pasta

This easy creamy mushroom and ham pasta is one of my dad’s classics. It’s so delicious and quick you won’t be able to stop making it!

🔪 Preparation time: 5 minutes

⏲️ Cooking time: 15 minutes

Ingredients for 3 portions:

  • 150 gr Black Forest Ham or Parma Ham
  • 300 gr of your favourite mushrooms
  • 300 gr of your favourite type of pasta (my one is fusilli)
  • 250 ml Double cream
  • 3 garlic cloves
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Parsley for garnish

Preparation

(1) Fill a saucepan with water and set on high heat. (2) Roll your ham of choice and cut in about 1 inch slices, set aside. (3) Finely chop your garlic.

(4) Separate the stem from the head of the mushrooms (5) and chop to your preferred size. (6) When the water starts boiling, add salt and wait for the water to boil again. When it does, add your pasta and let cook for 2 less minutes than indicated on the package.

 (7) Add your mushrooms to a large pan; let dry cook for about 4 minutes stirring frequently and then add your olive oil. (8) When your mushrooms are cooked through, add your garlic and let cook until fragrant, about 1 minute. (9) Add your cream, salt and pepper to the mushrooms and garlic and let cook on medium-high heat until the cream is slightly thickened, about 3 minutes.

(10)Drain your pasta and add it and the ham to your mushrooms and cream pan. Don’t worry if the cream is still slightly loose, it will thicken thanks to the starch contained in the pasta. Toss to coat.
